I am a Council member of The Cornwall Watercolour Society; Associate Member of Penwith Gallery St Ives and Member of The Arts Club St Ives.
My preferred way of working is with water based mediums. This allows me huge versatility so I can work en plein air in the wilds of the wonderful Cornish landscape that surrounds me, as well as in the wind free comfort of my studio!
I particularly enjoy embellishing watercolour paintings with collaged materials - whether using colour, patterned paper or through monoprints I have made myself.
My passion for flora and fauna and the energy of the naturel environment means I enjoy painting wild flowers, birds, rocks, shellfish, as well as pounding seas & moody landscapes. I also love little cobbled streets, harbours and rusty boats - the essence of the Cornwall I love!

Cornwall Art Workshops is an exciting new venture set up in 2024, by myself and my art colleague Caroline Marwood.
We base our creative arts teaching programme around the seasons of the year, with a special nod towards embracing the Celtic tradition of celebrating our interconnectedness with the natural world around us. We are so fortunate to live among breathtakingly beautiful land and seascapes which are abundant with wildlife and native flora.
Caroline's talents lie particularly in printmaking, digital art , using oil and wax mediums, as well as traditional painting. We both have teaching qualifications and are experienced in leading creative art workshops for adults, in a wide variety of settings.
Our collective style of teaching is traditional skills based learning in small groups, in a relaxed and friendly environment, with plenty of fun, friendship, tea, coffee and tasty treats!
All materials are provided.
We will soon be publishing our 2025 programme!!
